Find out about Minnesota Power proposals and how to make your voice heard.

In 2016, Minnesota Power had asked for permission to increase customers' bills by as much as $225 per year on average. State regulators have scaled that request back considerably, but your bills will change.

In 2017, Minnesota Power asked for approval to build a new natural gas power plant, which they expect would cost ratepayers an additional $350 million. Whether the new power plant gets approved depends on whether Minnesota Power really needs more energy, and whether using wind, solar, and energy efficiency would be more cost effective -- and public input can make a difference.

The Public Utilities Commission wants to know what customers think at a public hearing on February 28 and in written comments before March 23.

You will leave this event understanding the PUC decision making process, feeling prepared to make your voice heard as a customer, and understanding how the rate change will affect you and your neighbors.

Will you come?
